Upgrade to WordPress 2.5.1

OK, I’ve moved the site to the new version of WordPress, version 2.5.1 WordPress publishs great instructions in thier Codex, so I recommend you read their instructions. In a nutshell, the steps are:

  • Backup all your files to your PC
  • Download the Updated version
  • Disable all Plug-ins
  • Delete the WP files on the server, except wp-config.php and the wp-content folder
  • Upload the new version to the server
  • Run the Upgrade script in the wp-admin folder
  • Check the site for basic functionality
  • Reactive Plug-ins

All in all,  my upgrade went smooth.   I had to down new versions of several plugins.   I’m still troubleshooting one plug for my sitemap.  It is giving me an PHP error when I try to activate it.  It may be an issue with the version of PHP that my hosting service has.
